Drop-in Mah Jongg
Card tables are available in the JCC’s main lobby for your convenience, on a first-come first-served basis. Activity rooms are also available for Mah Jongg play on Tuesdays 12:30-3:00pm and Wednesdays 12:30-4:00pm; free for JCC members, $5 for non-members. If you are interested in playing in a regular Tuesday or Wednesday group, contact Cherie Ravel at email@example.com or 408.357.7462.
Intermediate Mah Jongg
Instructor Sandy Epstein focuses on the New Mah Jongg card and how to play successfully with it. Best strategies for switching hands, choose the hands which are most possible with your tiles, understand each hand and how it must be played.
The JCC offers ballroom, hip hop, tap and jazz dance classes for adults. See the Dance web page for details.
Duplicate Bridge: Open Game
Join us for a social game of duplicate bridge. This a non-sanctioned game with no master points awarded. It is a drop-in game although you do need to have a partner. If you do not have a partner and are interested in joining this group please call bridge director Don Schare or contact Cherie Ravel at the JCC.
Classes are designed to significantly improve word understanding, especially in background noise. Learn to use visual, contextual and environmental cues, preserve hearing, and optimize hearing aid performance.Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced classes are offered. Ken will show how to use the camera in your smartphone (iPhone and Android) to take better pictures including: how to use the flash, how to use "panorama mode", how to easily edit the pictures afterwards to make the photos look better, and how to organize the photos in your phone so you can find them later, and how to show them on a big screen TV so others can enjoy them too.
