Teva to You - organic produce
"Teva" means nature in Hebrew. You have two ways to get fresh, local, organic produce at the JCC, brought to you by our Center for Jewish Life and Learning.
The options are:
- Weekly produce box from High Ground Organics
- Online a la carte orders from Santa Cruz Local Foods
Weekly Produce Box from High Ground Organics
Get fresh, local, organic produce delivered weekly from a local farm when you join our JCC-sponsored CSA program.
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA members purchase "shares" of a farm's produce in advance, and then pick up the produce once a week from the JCC during the growing season--March through November.
Cost: The cost of the produce is $22 per week if you sign up before March 15th. Then the price goes up to $24 per week. There are several payment plans available. See the High Ground Organics website for details.
What you get: Each weekly share is considered sufficient for a family of four. Items may include: tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, radishes, strawberries, blueberries, herbs, fennel, beans, potatoes, peppers, green onions, beets, squash, apples, and much more!
When you get it: You can pick up your share weekly at the JCC on Wednesdays from 12:00-6:00pm. There's a booth in the parking lot (far right side of the parking lot).
