Mothers Circle

At the APJCC we are committed to serving the entire Jewish community. Our Mothers Circle group is an informal seminar designed for non-Jewish women who are the mothers of Jewish children. As an affiliate of the Jewish Outreach Institute, our Mothers Circle group uses the JOI’s award curriculum to empower and educate women to continue to raise Jewish children. In addition the Mothers Circle is a space for sharing and support, as women from different backgrounds who share the common challenge of raising Jewish children, help build the safe space that is the Mothers Circle.

The Mothers Circle Program is an umbrella of free educational programs and resources for non-Jewish women raising Jewish children within the context of intermarriage or a committed relationship.  In an 8 month course focusing on Jewish living, traditions, and culture, mothers circle participants come together in a safe and respectful space to explore the depths of the Judaism.

Sabas v'Savtas

Sabas vSavtas, lead by the CJLL director, Rabbi Joshua Fenton, aims to facilitate conversation and offer meaningful advice for Jewish grandparents of interfaith children. What role can and should I play in my grandchildrens Jewish education? What are fair expectations for me to have of my children? How do I really feel about my inter-faith family and what can and should I do about? These’s are some of the questions the Sabas v'Savtas group will discuss.

Teva to You

Teva is the Hebrew word for nature. Teva To You is a program that is designed to support small local farms and create a vibrant Jewish community by providing people with the opportunity to purchase and eat local, organic and sustainable produce and participate in educational programs that explore the intersection of food and Jewish tradition.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA members purchase their "shares" in advance and then pick up their produce once a week from the JCC during the growing season - March through November. Error processing SSI file
