Specialty Classes

 In addition to our regular group fitness classes, which are complimentary for Full Center Members, we also occasionally offer  fee-based classes. We offer new classes on a regular basis so check back from time to time, to see what's new.


Regular Class Descriptions

The JCC offers more than 70 group fitness classes each week. These classes are free for Full Center Members. Social Members and non-members pay a day pass fee of $15 for Social Members and $25 for non-members.

Aqua Bootcamp

Take bootcamp into the water with high intensity drills for a total body aquatic workout.

Aqua Fit

Get out of the studio and into the pool for this non-impact, total body workout. Improve cardiovascular stamina, muscular endurance, flexibility, and range of motion.

Aqua Sculpt

Use water resistance to build strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Aqua Tabata

Tabata in the pool! Tabata is a high-intensity training regimen that produces remarkable results. A Tabata workout consists of several basic athletic moves done for a short period of time but performed at a high intensity level, with a short rest in between. In Aqua Tabata, we use water resistance with several basic aqua moves.

Body Sculpt

Mix it up with dumbbells, balls, body bars and bands for a great total body workout! Work at your own level while you define, condition, and strengthen all major muscle groups.

Cardio Bootcamp

A fast-paced core, interval training class that incorporates calisthenics such as push-ups, jumping jacks, sit-ups, running in place and football-style drills. Alternating quickly between movements helps to burn calories and fat faster. Modifications will be provided for all levels.

Cardio Sculpt

Combine Body Sculpt with cardio intervals for a total body workout!

Core Yoga

An active, powerful yoga that flows through many Sun Salutations into various standing and balancing poses. The practice also includes a challenging series of Pilates-based abdominal toners and strengtheners.

Cycle Express

A 45 minute spinning class that will take you through all phases of true cycling. Great for those who may not have time for a full hour of Spin. A great workout for all.

Gentle Yoga

Strengthen and relax your body and mind. The selected postures allow you to gain a deeper sense of mental focus, clarity, and relaxation.

Guided Meditation

Experience calmness, mindfulness, and an improved awareness of your own mind. The class starts with an introduction to meditation followed by breath meditation, guided meditation, and finally silent meditation.

Hatha Flow

Combine the principles of Iyengar yoga and the fluidity of Vinyasa at a pace that suits the practitioner. Flow integrates breath and movement, awareness and alignment, and strength and flexibility.

Hatha Yoga

Blend several styles of Yoga into one with an emphasis on core strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and breath control.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

HIIT is a challenging format that alternates bouts of intense athletic movement with brief recovery periods. Using more than 12 interval exercises per class, the workout will incorporate cardiovascular and strength drills that are accessible to participants of all fitness levels.

Iyengar Yoga

Precise alignment of muscles, bones and joints is the main focus. Rather than moving quickly through the postures, you may spend many minutes in one pose and use props to align your body properly.

Intermediate/Advanced Step

Use the step platform to keep your mind busy and your heart pumping. This class has intermediate to advanced intensity and choreography.

J Dance Fitness

An athletic dance fitness workout that's easy to follow. It combines dance and high energy music for a workout that is bound to get your heart rate up and your body moving. You'll work up a sweat while having FUN!

J Dance meets on Saturdays from 9:00-10:00am. Each month we have a different instructor and a different type of dance!

The J Method

The J Method workout creates a lean, firm, sculpted body by combining isometrics, dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and interval training.

Kickbox Interval

A cardiovascular workout using the basic techniques of kickboxing to develop overall endurance, conditioning, and stamina and then half an hour of sculpting with weights.

Light and Easy Aerobics

Light on the joints and easy to follow, this low-impact aerobics class uses simple choreographed movement patterns that emphasize full range of motion.

On the Ball

Cardio, strength and core exercises all using the Stability Ball! Keep it simple with one piece of equipment that will be sure to challenge you.

Pilates Mat

This class takes you through a series of exercises focused on strengthening the core muscles: that is, the muscles of the hips, back, abdominals, and glutes.

Power Pilates

Take it to the core with a dynamic, challenging, progressive Pilates Mat workout focusing on your powerhouse (core). Lengthen, strengthen, and transform your body and mind towards your ABSolute potential.


Indoor-cycling program using high-performance, fully adjustable, stationary bicycles. The fundamental techniques and positions presented have been carefully selected to ensure a safe, fun, and effective workout for every student, regardless of fitness level. Spinning & Core and Spin Sculpt

Combine indoor cycling with core exercises for a great workout! This class is great for those who may not like a full hour of spinning. (Sculpt works on upper body). Stretching and Flexibility

Flexibility, balance and stretching, all in one! Stretch your body from head to toe, while strengthening your core and improving your concentration and balance.

Tabata Bootcamp

Therapeutic Yoga Flow

Inspired by Yoga Tune Up®,this class is designed to tone, stretch, and strengthen the body as well as relieve and heal muscle fibers. Using self massage, props, classical and non-traditional asanas you will leave with a new perspective on your body and your practice.

Vinyasa Yoga

A dynamic system of practicing asanas that focuses on the synchronization of breath and the continuous flow of movement. Build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus.

Yoga Fundamentals

Intended for all student levels, Yoga Fundamentals reinforces a strong and stable foundation on which to build your practice. Each class is devoted to a theme which will help you deepen your practice while challenging your mind and body.

Yoga Fusion

Combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong movements in an invigorating and strengthening flow.


Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Classes are energizing and totally exhilarating, and build a camaraderie among students.

Zumba Basic®

Takes the Zumba® formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of a mature audience and anyone wanting a slower pace. What stays the same are all the elements Zumba is known for: zesty Latin music, easy-to-follow moves, and the invigorating atmosphere.
