For more information, contact the Fitness Desk at email@example.com or 408.357.7419.
Health and Fitness Orientation (HFO)
We recommend starting with a Health and Fitness Orientation (HFO). Valued at $60, it's free for Full Center Members.
During the HFO, you and your trainer will discuss your exercise history, health history and fitness goals to design the best program for you personally. You’ll also receive a physical assessment to determine which exercises are the right ones, and the wrong ones, for you specifically.
HFOs are available to Full Center Members ages 13+, and also to Full Center Members ages 10-12 who have completed the Youth Fitness Program.
To schedule your HFO, see your membership sales representative or contact the Fitness Desk at 408.357.7419.
Classes and Programs
We offer solo (1 person), buddy (2 person), small group (3-5 people), and large group (6-8 people) personal training. Thirty-minute and sixty-minute sessions are available. For information or to schedule a session, contact the Fitness Desk at 408.357.7419. The Fitness Desk is located in Fitness A on the first floor of the JCC, across from the locker rooms.
Aquatic Personal Training
Benefits of training in the water include:
- Water adds resistance that tones and strengthens your muscles.
- Reduced impact on joints.
- With partial submersion, your heart rate and blood pressure stay lower during exercise.
Solo, buddy, and group packages are available. Sign up at the Fitness Desk or call 408.357.7419.
Athletic Conditioning (ages 11+)
Need to step up your game? Looking for an additional workout to add to your regular training regime? Join a group of athletes at your level for a weekly workout that enhances your overall athleticism and includes elements of stability, strength, agility, speed, flexibility, and overall conditioning. Sessions are taught by our Certified Athletic Trainers who have the education (degrees and nationally recognized certifications) and the experience to help you take your body to the next level. Separate classes are available for middle school and high school athletes. More info: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Speed Training for Athletes (ages 10+)
Need to get an edge over the competition? These individual sessions incorporate the different dynamics of speed training: explosiveness, power, agility, endurance, stride length, and form. Work with an experienced speed training professional who will tailor your workouts based on your specific running form and individual goals. Specialized Fitness Professional Rates apply. More info: email@example.com.
Children ages 10-13 years old can learn to use the Fitness Center in a safe and effective manner through this 5 session program. (For children 10-12, this program is REQUIRED in order to be admitted to the Fitness Center. After completing the program, children can work out with parental supervision.)
During the first four sessions, your child will learn about different components of exercise including flexibility, cardiovascular, strength training, balance and core training, and safe use of the equipment. During the 5th, individually scheduled session, they will be taken through a practical examination with the instructor.
Dates and times are based on participant request and instructor availability. Rates are $200 for Full Center Members, $250 for Social Members or non-members. Rates are per child, for groups of two or more. Private instruction is $235 per child for Full Center Members. More info: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 408.357.7419.
