The JCC has four lighted tennis courts available for members. We offer tennis programs for every age, from 3 years and up.
Introductory Tennis Orientation and FREE Adult Clinics
We encourage you to begin with an introductory tennis orientation, by attending one of our free adult clinics offered on select Tuesdays from 6-7pm. New and current members may sign up once per month. Sign up at the Fitness Desk. Maximum of 12 people, so please sign up early. Rackets not provided. This is complimentary for Full Center Members. It is open to all levels and abilities. During this clinic you will receive helpful tips, train with racket and hand-fed drills, and play some fun games, all while getting a good workout.

Tennis Court Reservations
We use an online tennis court reservation system for all tennis court reservations. To access the online court reservation system, click here.
Only Full Center Members may reserve courts. Courts can be reserved up to 48 hours in advance, for up to 1.5 hour time slots. Members may also reserve a court by phone, by calling the JCC Service Desk at 408.357.7429.
To obtain your user name and password for the online court reservation system, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. In your email please include your first and last name, and your JCC membership number (your "J" number). Your account will be created within 2 business days and you will be notified of your user name and password to access the system.

PRIVATE TENNIS LESSONS
Private and buddy tennis lessons are available. Price for one private lesson for Full Center Members is $80 per hour (10-pack is $730).

ADULT TENNIS (ages 16 and up)
For students with little or no previous tennis instruction. Students will be introduced to the forehand, backhand, serve, and basic vocabulary. (8:1 ratio)
Movement will be added to groundstroke rallying and improving serving techniques. (8:1 ratio)
Introduction to volley and overheads while improving overall confidence and consistency of the forehand, backhand and serve. Movement becomes a key component in this level. (8:1 ratio)
Intermediate course or instructor approval. Workouts cover groundstrokes, volleys, overheads and serving drills. (8:1 ratio)

Missed classes: Students can make up missed classes within a session but cannot carry them over to the next session. No prorating unless approved by the Tennis Department. We will make every effort to make up sessions missed due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
Classes/times/fees published in the JCC Program Guide are subject to change.
If a minimum number of students is not met, classes may be cancelled and students will be offered classes on alternate days/times.
During the session, if there is ever a day when there is only one student, then he or she will be offered a private lesson lasting half the usual length of the class (for example, if the class is usually one hour, the private lesson would be half an hour). If there are only two students, the class will be shortened to a semi-private lesson of the appropriate length, at the instructor's discretion.

Aaron Elbert - Tennis Director
Aaron is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional with expertise in programs from peewees to adults over 70. He was a Division 1 player at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has served as a USTA Tournament Director. He is known for creating a warm, social, and inviting atmosphere on the courts.
Francisco Ruiz - Programs Manager
Francisco Ruiz is an International Tennis Federation High Performance Coach, which is the highest ranking certification offered to coaches. A respectable accomplishment and a gratifying journey, Francisco strives to share the knowledge gained to train nationally and world-recognized players. He has also been the travelling coach for many ATP and WTA professionals, where he picked up the subtle nuance that he takes to the courts, furthering his already accomplished training technique. Francisco has been coaching throughout the bay area for over 21 years. In 2010 he was the recipient of the Diversity Committee Trailblazer award for lifelong service to the USTA tennis community.
Aaron Morrill - Leagues and Tournaments Manager
Aaron is a USPTA Certified Instructor. He was a two-time National Division 3 champion at UC Santa Cruz. His passion for the game of tennis comes through when working with players at every skill level, from beginner to advanced.
