More Information

South Bay Teen Idol is produced by the JCC. It is open to all teenage vocalists in grades 8-12 in Santa Clara County. The auditions take place in January. Based on the auditions, judges select twenty singers to advance to the Semi-Finals competition in February. The twenty singers spend several weeks working with the event's producers to prepare for the high-energy Semi-Finals show, held in the JCC's theater auditorium.

At the Semi-Finals, the judges select ten singers to advance to the Finals competition in April. After several more weeks of preparation, the Finals performance is held before a panel of judges and an audience of more than 350 in the JCC auditorium. The judges select the top three finalists, and the audience votes for their favorite of the three, who becomes that year's South Bay Teen Idol.

Auditions for South Bay Teen Idol 2015 will be held Sunday, January 11th and the semi-finals will be Saturday evening, February 28th. The Final will be Saturday evening, April 25th.
